It also reminded me of how she ends her YENNA album with the song Moiroloi, which means Lament. Marina is exceptionally talented in showing all aspects of life and emotions through her music. She's probably the most unpretentious Greek artist in modern times.

UK (and Ireland) did well in ESC when other countries were not allowed to sing in English. French was the other popular language in Europe and success was guaranteed. Nowadays most counties choose English to be understood better, but language does not play such an important role anymore. For me the 1990s entries were dull and unimaginative - it was the decade when Eurovision almost came to an end and needed a push forward.

I love this performance. With the risk of sounding like a pretentious asshat, this is some of the best performance art I've ever seen. His performance at first is Irreverent and full of bravado. Then when he's got the party going and everyone going along with him he starts Florida 2009. During the performance the mask comes off and we get the real raw Joost.
